Michael Barisone has represented the United States
in International competition since 1996, including the 2008
Olympics. In addition to winning 100+ CDI Grand
Prix's on 6 different horses, Michael was also Team
leader on the 1st USET Nations Cup Championship at the CDIO Hickstead. Barsione also sits on the Board for the The
Carol Lavell Advanced Dressage Prize. This grant was
established at The Dressage Foundation, to provide financial
assistance for coaching and training to a talented,
committed, qualified rider whose plan is to reach and excel
at the elite, international standards of high performance
dressage.
Michael currently has two up and coming Grand Prix mounts.
Tazz is an 8 year old, super athletic, Dutch warmblood that
shows incredible talent for the passage and piaffe.
Both Tazz and Urbanus, another young, talented Dutch
warmblood, will make their Grand Prix debuts this year in
Florida.
Vera Kessels - Barisone migrated to the United States in
1995. As Michael's 'eyes on the ground' Vera is a Grand
Prix competitor in her own right, and has won many
prestigious CDI Grand Prix's including the Palm Beach
Dressage Derby CDI and Dressage at Devon. Vera has an
exceptional eye in spotting talent in young horses and has
helped clients across the US find that special horse.
Michael and Vera divide their time between their farms in
Long Valley, NJ and Loxahatchee, FL. The Barisone's
believe in being "green" and use all their farms have to
offer, like using rain water to water their arena.
In addition to teaching and training on his own farms,
Michael is also available for clinics. Please contact him
for more information.
